Linda Ambrose Lovett died on January 18, 2023, from a recent cancer diagnosis. She was the wife of the late Ronald Lovett. She was the daughter of the late Edward and Blanche Ambrose. Several years after her father Edward's death, her mother Blanche married Stephen Dambry, a widower with two daughters, and Linda, her mother, and her sister became part of a blended family. The late Stephen Dambry raised Linda and her sister Phyllis, as his daughters. Originally from South Boston, Linda lived in Weymouth for many years and recently moved to Chapel Hill Senior Living in Cumberland, RI. Linda was a graduate of Emmanuel College, with a degree in biology. One of her first jobs was in the laboratory at Massachusetts General Hospital, but teaching was her true calling. She taught for many years at the Martin E. Young School in Randolph, MA. Linda was a kind, generous, and caring person. She treasured her pets: her dog, Nikki, and several cats. She loved to cook and enjoyed being the host for family Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners, always with a perfectly decorated house.
She also leaves her sisters Patricia Dambry and Marcia Dambry (husband, Thomas Barber). She was the sister of the late Phyllis Dill (husband Ernest). She also leaves her nieces and nephews, Joanna Barber, Susan DeBenedictis, Philip, Kenneth, Alan, and Stephen Dill. She is also survived by many grand nieces, nephews, and her daughter-in-law and son-in-law, Susan and Michael, who cared for Linda in her later years.
The family would like to thank the staff at Chapel Hill for their kind care of Linda in her final days.
The funeral and burial will be private.
