Lily M. Massiwer, 86, of Pawtucket, passed away peacefully with family by her side. Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late George and Sarah (Sapag) Massiwer. Lily was an accountant for Texas Instruments, Attleboro, MA for forty years, retiring in 2001. She was a life long parishoner at St. Mary Antiochian Church, where she served as a devoted Sunday school teacher and was a member of the choir. She volunteered much of her time at the American Red Cross as well as the St. Matthew's Soup Kitchen, Pawtucket. She loved travelling, reading, needlepoint and the occasional trip to the casino.
She is survived by her brother, Mitchell Massiwer, her sister, Dianna Hashway, and her sister-in-law, Mary Massiwer. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews along with several cousins in Chile. She was the sister of the late Emile Massiwer, Abraham Massiwer, John Massiwer and Sophie Hallal.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to a Funeral Service on Thursday, June 27th at 11:00 AM in Saint Mary Antiochian Orthodox Church, 249 High Street, Pawtucket. Burial will follow in Walnut Hill Cemetery, Pawtucket. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, June 27th from 9:00-11:00 AM in Saint Mary Antiochian Orthodox Church, prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Saint Mary Antiochian Orthodox Church , in her memory would be appreciated.
