Leo T. Donovan, Jr., 72, of Cumberland, RI passed away Friday, December 5, 2025 at Steere House Nursing Home, Providence, RI. He was the loving husband of Denise (Chaput) Donovan. They were happily married for 38 years. Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late Leo and Geraldine (Glynn) Donovan.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Andrew Donovan and Brendan Donovan and his wife Marissa (Pereira) Donovan; his sister-in-law Sandra Carr and her husband John, his brother-in-law's Paul Chaput and his wife Tina, and Stephen Chaput. He also leaves many nieces, nephews and close friends.

Leo graduated from Providence College and pursued a career with the State of RI Sheriff's Department for 30 years. He was a passionate sports fan. He spent many years coaching baseball and basketball teams. He was a very kind and caring person who enjoyed a good time. Leo will be deeply missed by his family and everyone that knew him.

The funeral and burial will be private.
