Laurence Dolan

Laurence Dolan, 88, of Pawtucket, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 31, 2026. He was the beloved husband of the late Barbara (Chalmers) Dolan. Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late William and Beatrice (Wilde) Dolan.

Mr. Dolan was a surveyor for the RI Department of Transportation before retiring in 1998. He was also a truck driver for International Packaging for many years. He served his country proudly in the United States Army. He spent countless hours participating in community activities such as singing the national anthem at the Special Olympics and other sporting events, singing and entertaining for the elderly in nursing homes, and volunteering at the Jeanne Jugan Residence Home. He could never deny a request to sing Danny Boy on Saint Patrick’s Day. He was a communicant of St. Mary’s in Pawtucket and St. Leo’s for many years. Attending and cheering at sporting events and activities for his grandchildren brought him great joy.

He is survived by his children, Colleen Feeney, Maureen Dolan, Michael Dolan, Daniel Dolan, Kathleen Maynard, and William Dolan. He is predeceased by his son Laurence Dolan. He also leaves 25 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-granddaughter. Laurence was the brother of the late Beatrice McDonald, Eileen Warren, William Dolan, Barbara Dolan, Muriel Daily, Kenneth Dolan, and Anne DiSaia.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at 11:00 AM in Saint Francis de Sales Roman Catholic Church, 381 School Street, North Kingstown, RI 02852. Burial with Military Honors will follow in R.I. Veteran’s Cemetery, 301 S. County Trail, Exeter, RI.

Visitation will take place on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM in the Manning-Heffern-O’Neill Funeral Home, 220 Cottage Street, Pawtucket.
