Obituary

Kevin Hosey of Pawtucket entered into eternal rest on February 18, 2016. He was born on March 6, 1954, the son of William and Rita (Goodwin) Hosey. Kevin was the loving husband of Susan H. (Risho) Hosey for thirty seven years.

Besides his wife Susan, Kevin is survived by his sister Margaret Lind and her husband Leo of Concord NH and his brother John "Jack" Hosey and his wife Diana of Rumford. He also leaves his sister in laws Joyce Silvestri and her husband Joseph of Seekonk, Massachusetts and M. Christine Sipes in Pascoag. Kevin also leaves his cherished mother in law Helene M. Risho of Pascoag,& several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was the brother in law of the late Timothy Sipes, Robert (Nury) Risho and Alan Risho. He was also the son in law of the late Albert Risho.

Kevin will be dearly missed by his dog "children" Tina and Soleil. He will enjoy being reunited with his many dog "Children" especially Pal.

Kevin was a 1973 graduate of Tolman High School in Pawtucket and continued his education at Johnson and Wales Culinary Institute. He worked in the food industry for many well known restaurants as well as private clubs for over thirty years.

Until recently Kevin worked for the Providence Center's Roads to Recovery Program. It is a residential substance abuse treatment program. His own sobriety for over fifteen years helped the many clients he cared so deeply about. Kevin loved his work and always insisted they helped him as well as he helped them in their road to recovery. It was the most rewarding job he ever had.

His Home Group (Faithworks) was instrumental in keeping him sober. Especially his sponsor Peter V. who led him into sobriety back in 2001. With the help of Peter, his brother Jack, and Joe Silvestri Kevin truly enjoyed these past fifteen years.

We would like to thank Dr. Howard Safran and his team for all their guidance and care and devotion during Kevin's illness. Kevin is now in Heaven where he can continue to assist those in need.
