Katherine Lockwood Hayslip passed away in her sleep, at home in Cumberland RI, on May 26, 2024. At the age of 84, Katherine was the oldest of the five children born to George Lockwood and Katherine Morris of New Rochelle, NY where she grew up. Her high school years were spent at Abbott Academy in Andover MA, and Wellesley for college. Upon graduating college, she studied for a year at The University of Munich and then received a master's in library science from Columbia. Katherine took a job as a cataloger at Brown University.

She married Edwin Hayslip in 1971 and they moved into the Hayslip home in Cumberland, RI. Their son Noah was born in 1973 and raised in Cumberland. Kath continued to live in the Cumberland home until her death.

Katherine Lockwood Hayslip passed away in her sleep on May 26, 2024. She was under the care of hospice for the last month of her life while she battled congestive heart failure and lung cancer.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to a Funeral Service on Saturday, June 15th at 11:00 AM in S. Stephen's Episcopal Church, 114 George St., Providence, RI.

Burial will be private.
