Karen L. (Machowski) Novak, 66, of Pawtucket, RI, passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2022. She was the wife of Michael Novak. Born in Woonsocket, RI, she was the daughter of the late Leo Machowski and Veronica (Dyer) Machowski.

Karen was employed for many years as a salesclerk and bookkeeper in the customer service industry at both Apex Department Store and Sodexho Food Services. Besides her loving husband, she is survived by her oldest daughter, Sandra (Novak) Letourneau and her husband Jay, and her youngest daughter, Lisa Novak. Karen was the sister to David Machowski and his wife Maryann, and Leo Machowski and his wife Laura. She was the grandmother to Maddie and Ellie Letourneau. She is survived by her step-mother, Patricia Machowski, her niece and nephews, as well as great-nieces and her great-nephew. She was also the fur grandmother to Bella.

Karen was a woman of great faith. She enjoyed being a member of the East Providence Community Chorus and a member of her church choir. She greatly enjoyed time spent talking with friends old and new and watching Red Sox games.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to a Funeral Mass Saturday, March 12th, at 10AM, at Blackstone Valley Baptist Church, 40 Pine Swamp Road, Cumberland. Private burial for family and close friends to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in E. Providence.

Visiting hours will be Saturday, March 12, 2022, from 8 AM to 9:30 AM in the O'Neill Funeral Home, 3102 Mendon Road, Cumberland.
