Judith Eileen Francesca Benevides, 88, of Pascoag and formerly of Valley Falls/Pawtucket, passed away peacefully on May 10, 2023. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Pires and Eileen Smith.
Judy, also known as nana, jubee, and snow white, was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a beautiful songstress and enjoyed performing and singing for many years. Judy was a social case manager for the Blackstone Valley Center for the disabled and an advocate for her clients. She was known for her strength, sass, hard work and her commitment and dedication to her family. She was loved by her family and will be truly missed.
She is survived by her children, Joseph Kenney, Jeffrey Kenney, Manuel Benevides, Kimberly Benevides, and Carlos Benevides. She also leaves her grandchildren, Lauren Busteed, Trevis Busteed, Daniel Kenney, Matthew Kenney, Stephanie Kenney, Jeffrey Kenney, Jason Kenney, Michael Kenney, Adam Kenney, Jillian Powers, Joshua Powers and Jeremy Benevides. She was the mother of the late John E. Kenney IV and Lisa Mathieu and the sister of the late Frances Pires.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to a Funeral Service on Saturday at 1:30 PM with calling hours at 11:00 AM - 1:30 PM in the Costigan-O'Neill Funeral Home, 220 Cottage Street, Pawtucket.
Burial will be private.
