Joseph F. Morris, 85, of Busby St, Pawtucket died, Tuesday September 15, 2009 at the Memorial Hospital of RI in Pawtucket. He was the husband of Mary (Karagianes) Tomellini-Morris. They had been married 21 years.

Mr. Morris was born in Warren, the son of the late Francis and Virginia (Mederios) Morris. He was a custodian for the City of Pawtucket School Department for twelve years. Mr. Morris was a Sargeant in the United States Marine Corp, serving in the South Pacific during WWII.

Besides his wife he is survived by his stepchildren, Dr. Sterling A. Tomellini and his wife Sandra of Rochester New Hampshire, Mario J. Tomellini and his wife Dalita of Rehoboth MA, his grandchildren, John, Joseph, and Alexander Tomellini, his nephew Alfred Hervieux and his wife Jean of Pawtucket, his nieces Mary Partridge and her husband James of Rumford, Karen Ayers and her husband Woody of Florida, his brother Frank Morris of Florida and his sister Genevieve Hervieux of Rumford.

There will be a Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Morris in St. Teresa"s Church, 358 Newport Ave, Pawtucket Thursday morning at 10:00am. His calling hours will be in the MANNING-HEFFERN FUNERAL HOME, 68 Broadway from 8:30am that morning. Relatives and friends are invited. He will be buried in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket.
