John W. Tomlinson, 93, of Lincoln and formerly of Pawtucket, passed away peacefully Tuesday, October 22, 2024. He was the beloved husband of the late Alice (Cahill) Tomlinson. Born in Central Falls, he was the son of the late Wilfred and Emma (Duckworth) Tomlinson. He was an army veteran of the Korean War. John was a police officer in the City of Pawtucket for 38 years, serving as the Chief, retiring in 1993.

He is survived by his children, John Tomlinson and his wife Margaret, Edward Tomlinson, David Tomlinson and his wife Mary, Jo-Ann Enander and her husband Steven, and Robert Tomlinson and his wife Christine. He was the father of the late Doreen Tomlinson. He also leaves his sister, Mildred Patnaude, as well as ten grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to a Mass of Christian Burial Friday, October 25th at 10:00 AM in Saint Ambrose Church, 191 School Street, Lincoln. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, October 24th from 5:00 - 7:00 PM in the O'Neill Funeral Home, 3102 Mendon Road, Cumberland.
