John Eric Rodriguez, 37, of Lincoln, RI passed away unexpectedly while visiting family in Puerto Rico, on December 17, 2021. He was the longtime partner of Richard Fickle Jr. of Lincoln and Providence, prior.  Eric was born in Penuelas, Puerto Rico, he was the son of Migdalia Figueroa of Providence, RI and his father Felix Rodriguez and his new wife Janet Rodriguez of Waterbury, CT.

Eric was a shy person who overcame many obstacles including learning to speak a second language, English on his own and was successfully operating his own online business, John's Fashions, for the last 2 years. He loved his newfound career and each time he went live for his shows, he lit up the room and had an infectious smile, that Richard, along with many others loved. We are all very, very proud of Eric.

Besides Richard and his parents, he is survived by his siblings, Marie Elizabeth Rodrigues Figueroa of Penuelas, Puerto Rico, Aixsa Linnette Morales Figueroa of San Juan, Puerto Rico, Walesca Ivette Morales Figueroa of Springfield, MA, Yovenka Ivette Rodrigues Figueroa of Providence, RI, and Luis Antonio Roman Figueroa of Puerto Rico. In addition, he also leaves many nieces and nephews, which were very special and absolutely adored by Eric.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to a Service on Thursday January 13 th , 2022, in the O'Neill Funeral Home, 3102 Mendon Road, Cumberland. Visiting hours are from 1:00 - 3:30PM, prior to the Service in the O'Neill Funeral Home.

The family has requested that all guests please wear a face mask.
