John Henry Brandt II, of Pawtucket, passed away on November 20, 2023, after a long, brave battle with cancer. He was born in Boston MA on October 31, 1937, to the late Arnold and Lucretia (Muskovitz) Brandt. He owned and operated J. H. Brandt Co., Inc., a commercial painting and wall-covering business for many years before retiring. After John retired, he worked part time as a licensed lead inspector. He had coached youth hockey in Hanover MA, Little League baseball and Boys & Girls Club basketball in Pawtucket RI. John was also an Army veteran.

Besides his wife, Bonnie (McEachern) Cassani-Brandt, John Is survived by his children, Johnna (Michael) Tierney of Sagamore Beach MA, William Brandt of Seattle WA, Stephen (Natalie) Brandt of Cohasset MA, Marni (Michael) Migliaccio of Duxbury MA, Michael (Sarah) Cassani of Eliot ME, Kelly Cassani (Daniel Ledoux) of Pawtucket RI, John (Michaela) Brandt III  of Hanover MA, and Jenna Brandt (Travis Barilla) of Fernandina Beach FL. He also leaves 9 grandchildren, Brandt (Nicole) Tierney, Jaime (Matthew) Stanton, Jessica Tierney, Ian (Olivia) Lyster, Christopher Brandt, Henry Migliaccio, Mila Brandt, Coralie Ledoux, Ella Cassani, and 3 great-grandchildren, Curt Tierney, Lyla Tierney, and Ryan Stanton.

John loved sports, going out to breakfast, and talking about politics. He may best be remembered for his sense of humor and his desire to make someone laugh every day. He will be missed by many.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to visiting hours on Saturday, November 25th from 12:00 Noon to 2:30 PM in the O'Neill Funeral Home, 3102 Mendon Road, Cumberland, followed by a 2:30 PM service.

Burial will be private.
