Joan Claudia (Carr) Walsh, age 84, of Knoxville, TN, formerly of Pawtucket, Rhode Island, passed away Tuesday, April 15th in Oak Ridge, TN.
Joan was a member of All Saints Catholic Church. She is the wife of Edward D. Walsh Sr. Joan was born in Pawtucket, Rhode, Island and was a daughter to the late Thomas A. and Sarah (Sugrue) Carr, and a sister to the late, Margaret F. Porier, Earl T. Carr, Irene C. McVay, Clarie C. Simpson, Alice Magill, Rose Watkins and Charlotte A. Sutton. Joan lived in Rhode Island, New Hampshire, and Florida. In addition to her parents and siblings, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Joan C. Rivard.
Joan leaves two daughters, Mary G. Sartorelli of Knoxville, TN and Regina G. Walsh of Indian Rocks Beach, Florida; three sons, Edward D. Walsh Jr. of Tucson, Arizona, Daniel G. Walsh and John G. Walsh both of Sarasota, Florida. Joan is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. There will be a service for Mrs. Walsh on Wednesday, April 23, at 1:00 pm in Mount Saint Mary''s Cemetery Chapel, Prospect Street, Pawtucket, Rhode Island.
