Obituary

Joan C. (Dedora) Casavant, 87, of Pawtucket, passed away on June 10, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert H. Casavant, who she was happily married to for 62 years. Born in Providence, RI, she was the youngest daughter of Jeannette (Girard) Dedora and Angelo Dedora. Joan worked at the family market until she married Bob in 1960. Joan was the driving force of the Casavant family.

She is survived by her children Arthur and his wife, Debora, Roger, Claudine, and Ronald Casavant. She also leaves her grandchildren Cody Thurber and Aaron Casavant, and great-granddaughter Audrey Casavant. Joan is also survived by her nieces Cheryl Dedora-Pynn, and Christine Dedora, and her nephew Robert Reindeau Jr. and his wife Vivian. She was the sister of the late Charlie Dedora and Dorothy Reindeau.

Joan also was very close to her husband's family Ronald Casavant, and his sisters, Suzanne Cross, Elaine Matook and the late Denise Ouellette, along with her three children David, Steven and Nichole Ouellette.

Joan was the Matriarch of the family and was loved and respected by all who knew her. She will be sadly missed but reunited with the love of her life Bob.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Saint John Paul II Parish, 755 Central Avenue Pawtucket. Burial will follow in Notre Dame cemetery, Pawtucket.

Visitation will be Tuesday, June 17, 2025 from 4:00 - 7:00 PM at Manning-Heffern-O'Neill Funeral Home, 220 Cottage St., Pawtucket.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Cancer Society and the Alzheimer's Association in memory of Joan, would be greatly appreciated.
