James G. Sharkey, 71, of Pawtucket, passed away after a brief illness Wednesday, September 4, 2024. He was born in Central Falls, the son of Joseph and Cecelia (Stegnicki) Sharkey. He was the beloved husband of Cheryl (Lewis) Sharkey. Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Emily and Lucas Sharkey. He also leaves his siblings, Jo-Ann Sharkey and Allen Sharkey. He was the brother of the late Barbara Sharkey-Roberts. He also leaves his mother in law Joan Lewis, and seven nieces and nephews, Joseph, Olivia and Erin Sharkey, Zachary and Hayley Robert's, and Erin and Christopher Lewis.

James worked in the home furnishing industry for many years before retiring in 2019. He also worked part time at The Little General before and after retiring. Above all, Jim loved music, which he shared with family and friends. He enjoyed playing hockey and was a Bruins fan. He loved cooking, star gazing and wrestling.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to a Liturgy of Christian Burial on Thursday, September 12th at 10:00 AM in Saint Basil The Great Church, Skyview Drive, Lincoln. Visitation will be held Thursday, September 12th from 9:00-10:00 AM, prior to the Liturgy in Saint Basil The Great Church.
