James Ryder Payne Jr., 88 of Pawtucket passed away March 3,2024. He was the son of the late James Ryder Payne Sr. and Helen (Gallagher) Payne. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War. He was the brother of the late William F. Payne Sr. and brother in-law of the late Jacqueline Payne.

James was the beloved godfather and uncle of Karen Payne-Silveira, William F. Payne Jr., and Kimberly Payne. He also leaves several great nieces, great nephews and cousins. James was a retiree of Nyman Manufactioning. He was a patron of The Lefoyer Club in Pawtucket where he later bartended and was a maintenance worker.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on March 13th at 11:00 AM in Our Lady of Consolation, 211 Sabin Street, Pawtucket. Visiting hours will take place on Tuesday, March 12th, from 4:00-6:00 PM in the Manning-Heffern-O'Neill Funeral Home, 220 Cottage St., Pawtucket.
