James M. Mastalerz, 62, of Attleboro, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on November 15, 2024. He was the beloved husband of Judy (Tedeschi) Mastalerz, with whom he shared 37 wonderful years of marriage. Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late Doris Cinqmars and Walter Mastalerz.
Jim worked as a Telecommunications Specialist spending the last 22 years at Tufts Medical Center in Boston.
Jim married the love of his life, Judy, in October 1987. Before starting their family, Jim and Judy enjoyed traveling and attending concerts. Even after decades of marriage, Jim relished date nights, where they would sing and dance to live music.
A devoted family man, Jim's greatest joy was spending time with his children. He worked tirelessly to provide for his family, often taking on extra hours to ensure they had everything they needed. Jim created cherished memories on family camping trips and annual Disney vacations, and he took pride in supporting Judy in her role as a stay-at-home mom to raise their four children.
Jim's unwavering faith in Jesus guided his life. With a servant's heart, he dedicated many weekends to serving at community events and helping members of his church, whom he loved as dearly as his own family.
Jim will be remembered for his boundless love, selflessness, and unwavering devotion to his family and faith. He leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and hard work that did inspire all who knew him.
Besides his wife, Jim is survived by his children Danielle Grela and her husband Michael, Giana Mastalerz, Nicholas Mastalerz, and Gracie-Lynn Mastalerz. He is also survived by his grandchildren Wesley Grela and Charlie Grela. He was the brother of Lynda Parker and Stanley Mastalerz as well as the late Walter Mastalerz and Michael Mastalerz.
