James F. Hayden, 92, of Blacksmith Rd, Lincoln and formerly of Amherst Ave., Pawtucket died Saturday, June 14, 2008 at the Grandview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Cumberland. Mr. Hayden was the husband of the late Catherine ( McGunagle) Hayden.
Mr. Hayden was born in Pawtucket, son of the late Thomas F. and Ellen (Barry) Hayden. Mr. Hayden was an Expeditor for the former William H. Haskell Co. He was a United States Navy Veteran of WWII serving in Alaska and the South Pacific and was a member of the St. Maria Goretti Parish in Pawtucket. Mr. Hayden was an avid collector of antique clocks, watches, and automobiles.
Mr. Hayden is survived by his son, Barry Hayden and his wife Karin of Lincoln with whom he made his home, his grandchildren, Elizabeth, John, Lindsay, and Christopher Hayden and his sister, Mary Boghosian of Narragansett. He was the brother of the late Thomas J. Hayden and the father of the late James E. Hayden who perished on United Airlines Flight #175 which crashed into the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001.
There will be a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, June 17, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Maria Goretti Church, Power Rd., Pawtucket to which relatives and friends are invited. Burial will be in Mt.
