Obituary

James E. Crawshaw Jr., 76, of Pawtucket, passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side, on October 5, 2024. He was the beloved husband of Donna (North) Crawshaw. Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late James and Rose (Ranalli) Crawshaw. James was a Sergeant with the Rhode Island Capitol Police for 28 years before retiring. He was an avid New York Giants fan and loved spending time at the beach. Most of all, he cherished the time he spent with his family.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Melissa Paterson and her husband David, Kendra St. Hilaire and her husband John, James Crawshaw and his wife Sarah, Edward Ross and his wife Devi, and David Crawshaw and his wife Mimi. He also leaves his grandchildren, Nathan Paterson and his wife Jackie, Tyler Paterson, Emily, Megan and Erin St. Hilaire, Hannah and Grace Crawshaw, Teddy and Ravi Ross, and Caleb Crawshaw; his great-grandchildren, Zoey and Georgia Paterson; and his sister, Rosemary Snedeker. He was the brother of the late David Crawshaw.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, October 9th at 11:30 AM in Saint Teresa Church, 358 Newport Avenue, Pawtucket. Burial will follow in Mount Saint Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket. Visiting hours are on Tuesday, October 8th from 4:00 - 7:00 PM in the Manning-Heffern-O'Neill Funeral Home, 220 Cottage Street, Pawtucket.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the RI Community Food Bank , 200 Niantic Avenue, Providence, RI, 02907, in memory of James, would be greatly appreciated.
