Obituary

Jagwantie "Iris" Maxwell, of Providence, passed into eternal life on January 4, 2023. She was the loving companion of George Lewis and the former wife of Bryan Maxwell. Iris was born Georgetown Guyana, South America, the daughter of the late Lochan Lochan and Esmonda "Betty" Lochan. She was a home maker and worked as a home health aid.

Besides her companion George, Iris is survived by her children, Stacy Maxwell of Pawtucket, Tracy Wolf, and her husband Vincent of North Providence, and Shondell Wilson and her husband David of Providence. Iris also leaves her six sisters, Sabrina Lochan, Morline Lochan, Desiree Samaroo, Christine Lochan, June Ann Singh and Chandra Singh. She also leaves her brother, Mohan Lochan and her grandchildren, Elijah Woolford, Dymond Woolford, Johnny Woolford, Shadai Wilson, Dashon Wilson, Anthony Wilson, Savannah Maxwell, Staci Maxwell, Bryan Maxwell, Saniyah Maxwell, and countless loved ones near and far. She will be dearly missed by pastor Charles Cabral, Pastor Susan Cabral, Pastor Oscar Cuma and all of her church family.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to a Funeral Service on Saturday, January 28th at 10:00 AM at Living Hope Assembly of God, 100 Broadway, Pawtucket. Visitation will be on Saturday morning, from 9:00-10:00 AM in the church, prior to the service.

Immediately following the Funeral Service, Jagwantie will be laid to rest at Highland Memorial Park, 1 Rhode Island Ave., Johnston RI.
