Edward O'Neill, 83, of Cumberland, passed away peacefully with his family by his side Saturday, April 23, 2022. He was the beloved husband of Nancy (Griffin) O'Neill. Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late John and Bernadette (McKeon) O'Neill. He was an air force veteran. Ed was an engineering technician for many years at the University of Rhode Island before retiring. He was a member of the RI Pilot's Association, Aircraft Owner and Pilot's Association, Civil Air and Patrol, Toastmasters International, RI Chapter B Goldwing Road Riders Association having achieved advanced rider certification. He was a volunteer for Ride for Kids, a motorcycle organization that raised funds for pediatric brain cancer. He volunteered as income tax preparer at Tri-Town Community Action and was an avid photographer.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Shannon Randall, his sisters, Joan O'Neill, Betty Ann Robinson, Alita Pagnozzi, and Irene O'Neill. He also leaves his brothers, William O'Neill, Daniel O'Neill, Matthew O'Neill. He was the grandfather to Andrea Tremblay, Crystal Randall, and Shane Randall. He was father of the late Michael O'Neill and the brother of the late Marlene Rowland, Chicky O'Neill, Jerry O'Neill, Shirley O'Neill, and Donald O'Neill.

The funeral and burial will be private.
