Irene F. (Kolodziej) Greene, of Brandon, Florida and formerly of Pawtucket, Rhode Island and Attleboro, Massachusetts, passed into eternal life on April 12, 2024. She was the wife of the late Frank B. Greene. Mrs. Greene was born in Cumberland, Rhode Island, the daughter of the late John Kolodziej and Eleanor (Taraska) Kolodziej.

Irene was raised in Cumberland, after she and Frank married she moved to Pawtucket and enjoyed her summers in Lakeville, Massachusetts. She was a past member of the Pawtucket Garden Club, a Brownie and Girl Scout leader, an avid bowler, golfer and  member of the Tabernacle Club at the Church of St. Leo the Great. After moving to Florida, Irene was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Seffner, Florida.

She is survived by her daughter Doreen Kagan and her husband Michael of Valrico, Florida. She also leaves her grandchildren, Alison Katapodis and her husband Nicholas of Cumberland, Rachel Kagan of South Attleboro, Massachusetts, and her great granddaughters Haley and Hannah Katapodis. She also leaves several nieces and nephew. Besides her husband Frank, Irene was predeceased by her sister Amelia Kent and her brother Louis J. Kolodziej.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on April 27th at 10:00 AM in St. Joseph's Church 1303 Mendon Road, Cumberland, Rhode Island.

In lieu of flowers, a donation in Irene's memory to St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church , 4450 County Road, Seffner FL 33584, would be greatly appreciated.
