Homer A. Pirtle, 92, of Rumford passed into eternal life on January 22, 2023. He was the loving husband of Lida M. (DelPapa) Pirtle. They were married for over 70 years. Mr. Pirtle was born in Athens, Alabama the son of the late Greened and Roberta Pirtle. He was the brother of nine deceased siblings. He was a United States Navy Veteran of the Korean War.

Besides his wife Lida, Mr. Pirtle is survived by his children, David A. Pirtle and his wife Donna of Attleboro, Massachusetts and Tina M. Holden of Warwick. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Wayne Holden Jr., Michael Pirtle, Ryan Pirtle, Mathew Holden, Alan Holden, and Daniel Holden as well as his great grandchildren, Victoria, Brooklyn, Kaydance, Marcus, Jayce, Riley, Oakley, Leif, Aubry, and Nasir.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to a Mass of Christian Burial for on Wednesday, January 25 ^th at 10:00 AM in St. Teresa's Church, 358 Newport Avenue, Pawtucket. Visitation will be on Wednesday morning, prior to the Mass, from 8:30-9:30 AM in the Costigan-O'Neill Funeral Home, 220 Cottage Street, Pawtucket. The burial will follow with full Military Honors in the Rhode Island Veteran's Cemetery, Exeter.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude's Hospital , 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis Tennessee.
