Henry A. Prout 79, of Smithfield, passed away on June 15, 2020. Born in Johnston, he was the son of the late Royal A. and Lucy G. (Emin) Prout.

Henry served in the United States Air Force as an Air Policeman.

Henry was a computer programmer for Fleet National Bank in Rhode Island and later for St. Elizabeth Hospital in Washington D.C. for many years prior to his retirement.

Henry loved his cats, reading & the Boston Red Sox!

He is survived by his sister, Ruth Altieri. Also survived by his nephews, James Altieri, Paul Altieri, James Tzitzouris, Thomas Tzitzouris, Robert Gath Jr., and Terry Meadows Jr., and his niece Jamie Wyatt.  He was the brother of the late Roya Welk, Beverly Tzitzouris, and Harlean Meadows, and the uncle of the late Rick Meadows, Lisa Welk, and Michael Welk.
