Gladys Barone, of Pawtucket, passed into eternal life on July 31, 2023. She was the wife of the late John N. Barone. Gladys was born in Providence, the daughter of the late Samuel and Jeannie (Holburn) W.S. Holgate.

Gladys is survived by her children, Shirley A. (Barone) Carter and her husband Dr. David Carter of Rumford and William J. Barone and his wife Terrie Barone. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Scott Weichtmann, Jason Weichtmann, Benjamin Carter, Timothy Barone, Kevin Barone and his wife Tori.  She also leaves her great grandchildren, Jayden Weichtmann and Eiley Barone.

Gladys was predeceased by her siblings Margaret Lutz, Florence Messier, Barbara Sullivan, Shirley Silva, George Holgate, and James Holgate.

Gladys enjoyed reading and watching Blue Bloods all day long.

There will be a funeral service for Gladys on Saturday, August 26th at 11:00 AM in the Costigan-O'Neill Funeral Home, 220 Cottage Street, Pawtucket. Her calling hours will be on Saturday morning from 9:00-11:00 AM, prior to the service.
