Georgette Cecile Tek

Georgette Cecile Tek, 86, of Pawtucket, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 5, 2026. She was the beloved wife of the late Hermenegildo Tek. Born in Central Falls, Georgette was the daughter of the late Justine Marie Ann Beauvais and Gaston Dulieu. A dedicated nurse for more than 30 years, she spent most of her career at Rhode Island Hospital before retiring.

Georgette cared deeply for others and had a special love for dogs, especially her beloved companions, Sheldon and Benji. Her most enduring qualities were gratitude and selflessness, as she helped out as often as she could without asking anything in return. Georgette enjoyed various hobbies, including reading, listening to music, camping, and taking rides to Galilee Beach. She was a woman of strong faith, attending Mass regularly and serving faithfully as a Eucharistic minister at St. Teresa Church.

Georgette is survived by her children, Matthew Tek and his former wife, Beth-Ann, and Jeremy Tek; as well as her three grandchildren, Xavier Tek, Charlotte Tek, and Nathan Filomeno-Tek. She was the mother of the late Andrew Tek and the sister of the late Pauline Ward, Louise Fournier, and Gaston Dulieu Jr. She is at peace and will be reunited with her husband and passed loved ones where she will take comfort in the lord’s hands.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, September 17, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Saint Teresa Church, 358 Newport Avenue, Pawtucket. Burial will be private.
