George Sackal, 75, of Pawtucket, passed away on October 15, 2024. Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late Mary Asermely Sackal. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War and George was awarded the Purple Heart and the Commendation Medal for Bravery while under intense battle. He was a printer for the state of Rhode Island for many years before retiring. George was also an expert in the martial arts.

He is survived by his siblings, Dennis Sackal and Patricia Sackal, his nephew Brenden Sackal, and his niece Kyleigh Sackal.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to a Liturgy of Christian Burial on Monday, November 4th at 10:00 AM in Saint Basil the Great Church, Skyview Dr., Lincoln. Burial with military honors will follow in Saint Basil's Cemetery, Cumberland.

The family will receive guests from 9:00 - 10:00 AM, prior to the Liturgy, in Saint Basil the Great Church.
