Obituary

George D. Parker, Jr., 90, of Pawtucket, passed away peacefully with his family by his side Thursday, January 18, 2024. He was the husband of the late Rose M. (Gagnon) Parker. Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late George and Edith (Dixon) Parker. He was a navy veteran of the Korean War and a recipient of the Purple Heart. He later worked as a postal carrier for many years before retiring.

He is survived by his children, Charles Parker, Donna Ravo, Naomi Alexander, and George Parker III, fourteen grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren. He was the father of the late Steven Parker and the late Thomas Parker. He was also the brother of the late Carol Lyons.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to a Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday, January 24th at 10:00 AM in Saint Teresa Church, 358 Newport Avenue, Pawtucket. Burial with military honors will follow in Mount Saint Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, January 23rd from 4:00-7:00 PM in the Manning-Heffern-O'Neill Funeral Home, 220 Cottage Street, Pawtucket.
