George Spero Michalopoulos, of Pawtucket, passed away peacefully on December 19, 2022 at the age of 88. He is survived by his wife, Ursula (Bouris) Michalopoulos of 26 years. George was born in Patras, Greece, the son of the late Spero Michalopoulos and Vasiliki (Giogadoros) Michalopoulos.

George is also survived by his daughter, Lisa Gavrillen Silverman, and his grandchildren, Cooper Lee and Caylee Silverman. His sister, Tina Photopoulos and brother to Peter Michalopoulos. He is predeceased by his siblings, Michael and Theodore Michalopoulos, Nancy Cacicio and Christine McGuinness. A loving Uncle to Theodore Michalopoulos II, Thomas Michalopoulos, Vincent McGuiness, Gregory Michalopoulos, Tina Zigas, Meghan Bevacqua, Candace Maher, Kristin Haddon and Valerie Ternullo.

George was a Korean War Veteran in the United States Army. He was a cook for many years prior to retiring. He was a life-long parishioner of The Assumption of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church, in Pawtucket, RI. George spent his pastime studying the bible, an artist who loved to paint and cook, and enjoyed buying and selling antiques and collectibles. He was the happiest surrounded by his friends and family.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to a Funeral Service on Friday, December 23rd at 12:30 PM in the Assumption of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church, 97 Walcott Street, Pawtucket, RI. Visitation will be from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM prior to the service in the Assumption of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church. Burial to follow at Walnut Hill Cemetery, 200 Armistice Blvd, Pawtucket.
