Garrett Keane Kelly, 51, of Wrentham, MA, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Saturday, June 18, 2022 while spending the day with his family and friends. He was the beloved husband of Jennifer (Sheetz) Kelly and father to Audrey, Laurel and Annabella (Bells). Born on November 20th, 1970 in Lowell, MA, son of Rosemary (Plunkett) Kelly and the late Thomas K. Kelly.

Garrett was raised in East Granby, CT and graduated from East Granby High School. He was a varsity soccer and basketball player – earning the name 'the Terminator' on the field. After high school he went onto major in Finance at Bryant University where he was a member of Phi Kappa Sigma. He was a Vice President for Fidelity Investments where he worked for over 26 years.

Garrett was passionate about his family and never missed an opportunity to spend time with his girls. He was actively involved in all sports activities, coaching soccer teams and never missed a soccer, basketball, volleyball, softball, or lacrosse game. He, his wife and daughters were proud of their Catholic faith and that showed through their kindness and generosity.

He will be remembered as an incredible grill and smoke master. He loved hosting his family and friends, his motto being the more the merrier. In the midst of any fun event, he could be heard planning the next. He always loved a quick pick-up basketball game with his nieces and nephews – often schooling those 25 years his junior. He was known by his family as Captain Christmas for his contagious spirit and festive decorations which included three giant Christmas trees. His incredible wit and intellect helped family and friends through challenging circumstances and will be greatly missed. His infectious smile and energy lit up the lives of so many every time they saw him.

Besides his wife, children and mother, he is survived by his brother, Thomas Kelly and his wife Abby of West Simsbury, CT; and his sisters, Christine Gallagher (Gregory) of East Granby, CT; and Jennifer Kelly (Michael) of London, England. He also leaves many nieces and nephews whom he adored, Aidan, Declan, Emmett, Claire, TJ, Adam, Danny, Mackenzie, Sam, Hadley, Aubrey, Jake, Gwen and Allie.

His family will receive friends on June 24 th from 4-7 PM in the O'Neill Funeral Home, 3102 Mendon Road, Cumberland. Family and friends may gather on Saturday June 25 th at 10 AM for a Christian Funeral Mass at Saint John Vianney Church, 3609 Diamond Hill Road, Cumberland. The burial will be private at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Wrentham Food Pantry, P.O. Box 657, Wrentham, MA 02093.
