Estelito R. Saldua, of Pawtucket passed into eternal life on April 6, 2024 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the loving husband of Joanne (Unwin) Saldua. They had been married fifty years. Estelito was born in Manila, Philippines the son of the late Rafael Saldua and Josephina (Rebadajo) Saldua.
Known by many as Lito, he was the first member of his family to travel to the United States. He layed down strong roots in RI. Lito loved to stay busy. After retiring from Miriam Hospital as a Medical Technologist he found joy in spending time with his family. He enjoyed watching his grandchildren in all their activities. Lito spent many hours working in his garage on various projects, most often for someone else. He could fix almost anything. He had the best sense of humor and would do anything to make you smile.
Besides his wife Joanne, Estelito is survived by his children, Jason M. Saldua of Mount Washington, Kentucky and Erin P. Smith and her husband Carlos of Pawtucket. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Carlos II "CJ" Dante and Laila. As well as a loving cadre of siblings, Ella, Edgardo, Emma, Elizalde, Elizabeth of Pawtucket, RI and Ester, Estrella, Elmer and Evan in the Philippines. Estelito was preceded in death by his siblings Efren and Emmanuel.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, April 12th at 10:00 AM in St. Teresa's Church, 358 Newport Avenue, Pawtucket. His calling hours will be Thursday, April 11th from 4:00-7:00 PM in the Manning-Heffern-O'Neill Funeral Home, 220 Cottage Street, Pawtucket.
In lieu of flowers, a donation in Estelito's name, to the March of Dimes , would be greatly appreciated.
