Eric Sakkinen, 56, of Manville, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, February 12, 2022. Born in Providence, he was the son of Donna (Scott) Sakkinen and the late Peter Sakkinen. Eric was a mason for many years. Very passionate about his craft, traditional new England dry lay stonework. He was a unique and original person, despite seeming like an intimidating person when you first met him, he was a very friendly personable individual; that many people loved and respected. He had a deep passion for the art of magic and was a member of the International Society of Magicians. An incredibly smart individual, he chose his own path in life, the one he wanted to take.

Besides his mother, he is survived by his son, Elijah Sakkinen with whom he made his home, his sisters, Kristina Calitri and Karen Travers, and his brother, Marc Sakkinen. He was the brother of the late Lisa Kelleher.

The funeral and burial will be private.
