Elizabeth (Betty) Ann Jamieson, 93, of North Smithfield, and formerly of Pawtucket, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 7, 2026. She was the beloved wife of the late William G. Jamieson, whom she shared 56 wonderful years of marriage with before his passing.
Born in Hartford, CT, Betty was the daughter of the late Theodore and Edith (Holleran) Gammons. Betty had lived most of her life in Pawtucket as a homemaker, a member of her children’s PTA, working every election at the local elementary school, and returning to work as a secretary at Collette Tours. She was an avid reader and made the transition to reading on an electronic format, using a Kindle Fire so that she could use the tablet to look up things online that interested her well into her 90s.
She is survived by her children, Elizabeth Casavant and her husband Paul, Sandra Jamieson, William Jamieson and his wife Christine, and Patricia Rochefort. She also leaves behind nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and a son-in-law Rocco Camparone. She was the mother of the late Karen Neary Camparone and grandmother of the late Steven Neary.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to a Funeral Service on Thursday, October 15, 2026, at 9:30 AM in the O'Neill Funeral Home, 3102 Mendon Road, Cumberland. Burial will follow at the R.I. Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
Visiting hours will take place on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, from 4:00 - 7:00 PM in the O'Neill Funeral Home, 3102 Mendon Road, Cumberland.
Betty’s family would like to thank the staff at St Antoine’s for the compassionate care and friendship that they provided over the last several years. Their kindness and love for Betty has been truly beautiful.
