Obituary

Eleanor "Ellie" (Goddu) Williams, of Pawtucket, passed peacefully into eternal life surrounded by her loved ones on March 15, 2024. Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late John and Eileen Goddu. She graduated from Joseph Case High School in 1958. Eleanor worked many years as a cherished licensed practical nurse in the Boston area.

Eleanor had a vibrant personality and enjoyed living a very active life. She loved to travel and could spend hours in the yard, gardening and pruning. Eleanor adored spending time with her family and always put them first above all else. She also treasured every moment with her beloved dog, Maxxx.

She is survived by her children, Lynn Bernard and her husband Dan of Maine, William Niles of Maine, Carlo Briggs of New York, David Niles of Rhode Island, Eleanor Bryson and her husband Kurt of West Virginia, Kimberly Niles and her husband Tony of Rhode Island and Frederick J. Niles and his wife Crystal of Rhode Island. She is also survived by her brother Joseph Goddu, thirteen grandchildren, Daniel, Douglas, Jessica, Jason, Matthew, Joshua, Sean, Sarah, Timothy, Justin, Joseph, Hannah, and Olivia-Rose Eileen, and several great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to a Funeral Service on Tuesday, March 19th at 11:00 AM in the Manning-Heffern-O'Neill Funeral Home, 220 Cottage Street, Pawtucket. Burial will follow in Walnut Hill Cemetery, Pawtucket. Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 AM, Tuesday, prior to the service.
