Eleanor Marcoux, RN, 97 of Coventry and formerly of Pawtucket, passed into eternal life on March 6, 2023. She was the wife of the late Milton Marcoux. Mrs. Marcoux was born in Pawtucket, the daughter of the late Eugene F. Fogarty and Leapha (Purdy) Fogarty.

After graduating from Pawtucket East High School in 1944, Eleanor attended and graduated from the Pawtucket Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in 1947. She was employed as a Registered Nurse at Pawtucket Memorial Hospital of Rhode Island for 44 years.

Her family and faith were her life's cornerstones, bringing her great peace and happiness. She was an extraordinary woman throughout her rewarding life who always lit up a room when she entered. Her sense of humor and keen sense of fashion were additional highlights of her shining spirit.

Eleanor is survived by her three daughters, Cheryl Kowal and her husband Francis of Wakefield, RI; Susan French and her husband Robert of Richmond RI; Jean Fitzpatrick and her husband Andrew of Rehoboth, MA. She was a loving grandmother of eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandson.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, March 10th, at 10:00 AM at Saints John and Paul Church, 341 South Main St., Coventry, RI. The burial will be private and visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
