In Loving Memory of Eleanor
Eleanor DiPalma, born June 28, 1944, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2026, after a brief illness. She leaves behind a lifetime of memories, laughter, and a family who loved her more than words can say.
Eleanor was one of a kind. She was loud, outspoken, funny, and full of spunk—the kind of person who could walk into a room and make sure everyone knew she was there. She had a personality that was impossible to forget, and although she could certainly drive everyone a little crazy at times, that was part of what made her so special. She lived life in her own way and never tried to be anyone other than herself.
For 23 years, Eleanor worked at Palmieri Bakery, dedicating many years of her life to her work and the people around her. She later retired from Stop & Shop. One of Eleanor’s favorite things was yard sailing. She loved spending time searching for treasures, finding something unexpected, and enjoying the adventure along the way. Some of the most cherished memories with her were made during those simple outings, especially the many yard sales she enjoyed with her granddaughter, Mariana.
Eleanor’s greatest pride was her family. She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Dirocco, whose husband, Rocco, predeceased her; her son, Robert Delnigro Jr.; her grandson, David Dirocco; her granddaughter, Mariana Yeremian, and her husband, Christian; and her great-grandchildren, Giovanni and Elisia, who brought so much love and joy into her life.
She was a source of laughter, stories, unforgettable moments, and a personality that could never be replaced. She was wonderfully herself—loud, hilarious, and sometimes a little crazy in the very best way.
Her absence will leave a space that can never truly be filled. But the memories she gave her family will live on in every story they tell, every laugh they share, and every moment that reminds them of her.
Eleanor may no longer be here to make her presence known, but her voice, her laughter, her spirit, and her memory will remain with her family forever.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to a Funeral Service on Friday, August 21, 2026 at 12:00 noon in the Manning-Heffern-O'Neill Funeral Home, 220 Cottage St., Pawtucket. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, 73 Church St., Cranston.
