Obituary

Dorothy E. (Emond) Reardon, 87, a resident of Brighton Gardens in Dedham MA, and formerly of Blaisdell Avenue, Pawtucket, Narragansett, and Hillsboro Beach Florida, died Wednesday February 27, 2008. She was the beloved wife of the late J. Clarke Reardon.
Mrs. Reardon was born in Pawtucket, the daughter of the late Frank X. and Mary C. Emond. She was a teacher in the Cranston School System for many years, helping to implement one of the first ESL programs at the elementary level in Rhode Island. She was a graduate of Tolman High School and Emmanuel College in Boston MA.
She was the mother of Susan R. Richardson and her husband Paul of Pawtucket, James C. Reardon and his wife Katherine of Springfield VA, Frank E. Reardon and his wife Deborah of Needham MA, and John J. Reardon and his wife Suzanne of Medfield MA. She was the twin sister of Ann F. McKenna of Old Saybrook CT, and the sister of the late Mary C. Guertin of Pawtucket. She also leaves her sister in law, Catherine Reardon of Lincoln RI. She is survived by her ten grandchildren, Kathleen Reardon of Washington D.C., Brendon Reardan and, Mollie Richardson of New York City, Caroline and Christine Reardon of Springfield VA, John Reardon Jr, of Medfield MA, Matthew and Megan Reardon of Medfield MA, William and Sean Reardon of Needham Ma, several nieces and nephews.
The funeral for Mrs. Reardon will be Friday at 9:00am from the MANNING-HEFFERN FUNERAL HOME 68 Broadway, Pawtucket, with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary"s Church, Pine Street, Pawtucket at 10:00am. Burial will be in Mt. St. Mary"s Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited. The calling hours will be Thursday from 2:30-4:30pm in the funeral home.
