Doris E. Marcotte (Thibeault), 95, passed away peacefully on Thursday February 19, 2026 at the Evergreen House Health Center, East Providence, RI. She was surrounded by her family and caretakers. Doris was the beloved wife of the late George A. Marcotte. Born in Pawtucket Rhode Island, Doris was the daughter of the late Alfred and Eloise (Martin) Thibeault.
Doris is survived by her two children Denise McNamee and her husband Robert of Attleboro, MA and Donald Marcotte and his wife Martha of Mashpee, MA. She leaves behind three grandchildren Erin McNamee Conrad and her husband Robert of Chelmsford, MA, Benjamin McNamee and his wife Esther of Waco, TX, and Marissa Marcotte of Seekonk, MA. Doris was the great grandmother of Benjamin and Claire Conrad.
Doris was a longtime resident of Pawtucket and parishioner of St. Cecilia's Parish. Faith was always an important part of her life. While raising her own family, Doris taught sewing at the YWCA in Central Falls, RI for many years, and also cared for her aging parents.
Doris and George moved to North Attleboro in the early 90's where they enjoyed their retirement years. She enjoyed spending time in her yard, visits from her grandchildren, and walking at the mall with her many friends. She also enjoyed designing and sewing kites with George, and together they would routinely visit Colt State Park to let them fly along the beautiful shoreline which they both enjoyed while picnicking with friends.
In her later years, Doris was an active member of the Chapel Hill Assisted Living Residence Wii Bowling team. She also enjoyed playing cards when her girlfriends would visit. In the last few years of her life, pictures of her grandchildren and great grandchildren ("my kids") were always proudly displayed and brought her great joy. Now she will be reunited with George and her many friends.
Rest in peace mom. Love you!
