Donna (Russell) Hart, 71, of Cumberland, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 19, 2025. Born in Webster, MA, she was the daughter of the late Leo "Joe" and Irene (Bulejcik) Russell and the sister of Peter Russell and the late Linda Shockett and Dr. Jay Russell. Donna graduated from St. Louis Catholic Grammar School in 1967, Barlett Highschool in 1971, and Worcester State in 1975.

Donna leaves her longtime companion, Charles Gauvin, and her four children: Dr. Jesse Hart and his wife Taylor; Commander Kelly Hart, U.S. Navy, and her husband Chance Pinkerton; Lieutenant Dr. Amy Hart, U.S. Navy, and her partner Cristian Barerra; and Dr. Zachary Hart and his fiancé, Morgan Spatafore.  She was a loving nana to her three grandchildren, Madison Hart, Dani Hart, and Cassius Pinkerton.

Donna proudly raised her four children and said there was "always room at the table" for their many friends. Donna taught in the Cumberland school department, volunteered as a docent at the Roger Williams Park Zoo, and served as a Girl Scout troop leader.  She loved nature, animals, and watching the seasons change from her porch overlooking Miscoe Lake. Her motto was "be kind."

Family and friends are kindly invited to a Funeral Service Thursday, July 24th at 11:30 AM in the O'Neill Funeral Home, 3102 Mendon Road, Cumberland. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland. Visiting hours Thursday, July 24th  from 9:30-11:30 AM , prior to the Service in the O'Neill Funeral Home.
