Obituary

Dennis R. Allard, 78, of Lincoln, RI, passed away peacefully with his family by his side Tuesday, November 4, 2025. He was the beloved and devoted husband of Carol (Smith) Allard for 49 years.

Born in Woonsocket and raised in Slatersville, RI, he was the son of the late Milton and Claire (Bourget) Allard. Dennis graduated from La Salle Academy in Providence, RI. Dennis served in the U.S. Marine Corps as a Sergeant during the Vietnam War from 1967-1971. Following his military service, he received a BA and MBA from Cal Poly Pomona in California. Dennis worked in sales and marketing throughout his career holding executive level positions. He and Carol started their family in Mission Viejo, CA, and later resided in Williamstown, MA, for nearly 30 years. They moved to Rhode Island in 2020 to be closer to family.

Throughout his life, Dennis was an involved member of Saints Patrick and Raphael Parish in Williamstown. He was a devoted father and grandfather whose love knew no bounds. He adored his wife and cared for her with unwavering affection and support. Dennis was a patient man known for his generosity, humor, and storytelling. He relished a good bowl of coffee ice cream, like a true Rhode Islander, and enjoyed watching New England sports with his friends and family. Dennis leaves behind a legacy of kindness and compassion.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Danielle Allard and Noelle Allard, his grandchildren, Jin McKnight and Adeline Nguyen, and son-in-laws Adam McKnight and Chi-Thanh Nguyen. He is predeceased by his son Timothy Allard. He also leaves his siblings, Vernon Allard, Marc Allard, Peter Allard, and Stephen Allard.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to a Mass of Catholic Burial on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at 10:00 AM in Saint Ambrose Church, 192 School Street, Lincoln. Burial with military honors will follow at the RI Veteran's Cemetery, 301 South County Trail, Exeter, RI. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM in the O'Neill Funeral Home, 3102 Mendon Road, Cumberland.

In lieu of flowers, his family encourages donations to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network and the Alzheimer's Association .
