Deborah M. Bracken

Deborah M. Bracken, 67, of Pawtucket, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 15, 2026, with her daughters, brothers, and close friends by her side. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Joan (Campeau) Dalton. A lifelong resident of Pawtucket, Deb worked as a medical assistant for many years, 29 of those at Memorial Hospital, later Care New England.

She is survived by her children, Shannon Bracken-Bellew and her wife Kate, and Jillian Bracken and her wife Brianna, and was an expectant grandmother of her first grandchild in the fall. A little girl who we can only hope keeps her spirit alive. She also leaves her three brothers and sisters-in-law, Raymond Dalton, Jr., (Janine), Gary Dalton, (Gail), and Ronald Dalton, (Lisa).

Debbie was a shining light to everyone who knew her. She loved the sunshine, being on or near the water, and spent her summer weekends at the beach in Galilee. She danced through life and always used the whole dance floor, encouraging her girls to do the same.

The family would like to thank and recognize the amazing and caring staff at Saint Elizabeth Home. The dignified and loving care she was given in her final days was nothing less than exemplary. We will be eternally grateful for the grace and love you’ve shown to our mother.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at 10:00 AM in Saint Teresa Church, 358 Newport Avenue, Pawtucket. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, May 20th, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Manning-Heffern-O'Neill Funeral Home, 220 Cottage Street, Pawtucket.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Saint Raphael Academy, to the Deborah Dalton Bracken ’77 Scholarship Fund to benefit female scholar athletes.
