Daniel Barrie Lampinski, 69, of Pawtucket, passed away on February 14, 2025. He was the devoted husband of Irma Varela Lampinski. Born in Providence, Daniel was the son of the late Jerry and Rita (Barrie) Lampinski. He spent most of his life in Pawtucket, and a few years in San Diego, CA. Besides his loving wife Irma, Daniel is survived by his three sons Jonathan, Christian, and Brendan. Daniel was also the brother to Jack, Glenn, Jeff, and Greg.
Daniel worked in New Bedford for over 30 years at Acushnet Company as a Senior Technical Manager before retiring in 2019. He earned a degree in Engineering from the University of Rhode Island.
Dan loved all four of the major New England sports teams. He followed each of them closely and listened to Felgar & Mazz on 98.5 The Sports Hub every day. He was also an avid lover of many genres of music with an entire catalog of his own personal concert recordings covering all kinds of major artists like Pink Floyd, Black Sabbath, The Who, and Led Zepplin just to name a few. His over 100 different concert recordings are available online for all to listen to. Daniel was also a huge animal lover. He cared for multiple pets throughout his life. His late dog, Cookie, was cared for over 20 years. Dan and Cookie would take walks in Slater Park every single day no matter what the weather was.
Daniel was a humble and kind man who touched so many lives. He will be missed by all that knew and loved him.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to visting hours on Friday, February 28th from 4:00 - 7:00 PM in the Manning-Heffern-O'Neill Funeral Home, 220 Cottage Street, Pawtucket. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, March 1st at 12:00 PM at St. Teresa of the Child Jesus, 358 Newport Ave. Pawtucket.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Dan's memory can be made to the American Diabetes Association , PO BOX 7023, Merrifield VA 22116.
