Obituary

Constantina (Tina) Morphopoulou Jameson, 93, of Providence, RI passed away peacefully on November 17, 2025. She was born on November 3rd, 1932 in Erythres, Greece, daughter of Meletios and Syrmo Morphopoulos, and younger sister of Katina and Sophia. Her journey from Greece brought her to New York City in the mid-1950s where she attended Wagner College until fate stepped in and she met her husband Philip Jamoulis Jameson, then a young Navy doctor stationed in the area.

She devoted her life to her family as a full-time mother and homemaker, creating a home filled with love and warmth. Tina was a gourmet cook and loved nothing more than entertaining friends and family. Her home was always filled with incredible food and lots of people. An outgoing, charismatic presence, she had a remarkable gift for making others feel loved. She had many, many friends and brought a bright spark and energy to every gathering. Her enthusiasm was infectious, and she had a natural ability to ensure those around her felt welcomed and uplifted.

She also had a passion and talent for duplicate bridge, becoming an exceptionally skilled player who, along with her partners, won tournaments both regional and national. She was cited in the New York Times bridge section and achieved the very high ranking of Diamond Life Master.

She was preceded in death by her devoted husband Philip and leaves behind four children -- Cyndie Seely (Jonathan), John (Christine), Philip (Carmen), and Melissa Oman -- as well as 9 grandchildren (Zachary, Anastasia, Olivia, Isabel, Henry, Sophia, Charlie, Stella and Lucia), who were a constant source of pride and happiness to her, along with her 10 great-grandchildren, who reside in Providence, New York, and Los Angeles.

The Funeral Service will take place at 10:00 AM on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at the Assumption of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church, 97 Walcott Street, Pawtucket, Rhode Island, with a reception afterwards at the Agawam Hunt Club, 15 Roger Williams Avenue, Rumford, Rhode Island.

Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that charitable donations be made to The Assumption of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church , 97 Walcott Street, Pawtucket, Rhode Island 02860, in remembrance of Tina Jameson.
