Catherine M. Ryan, 80, Pawtucket, passed away peacefully Thursday, December 16, 2021. She was the beloved wife of Richard C. Ryan, Sr. They were happily married for 60 years. They loved traveling which included visits to Germany, Ireland, and numerous cruises. Born in Central Falls, she was the daughter of the late Matthew J., Sr. and Theresa (Philp) Gill. Catherine was an administrative assistant for the State of RI for over 20 years working in many departments before retiring from RI Supreme Court. She was the loving mother of the late Richard C. Ryan, Jr.

Besides her husband, she is survived by her children, Colleen Kerr and her husband Stephen of Richmond, RI and Shannon McLaughlin and her husband Scott of Seekonk, Ma.; her grandchildren, Sara and Matthew Ryan, Sean and McKayla Kerr, and Ryan and Meghan McLaughlin. She also leaves her brothers, Thomas Gill and his wife Christine, William Gill, and Matthew J. Gill Jr. and his wife Ellen; many nieces and nephews, and numerous dear friends.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to a Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, December 21 ^st at 11 AM in Saint Joseph Church of Holy Family Parish, 195 Walcott Street, Pawtucket.

Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence.

Visiting hours are on Tuesday from 9 – 10:30 AM, prior to the Mass in the Costigan-O'Neill Funeral Home, 220 Cottage Street, Pawtucket.

The family has requested that all guests please wear face coverings.
