Carole Bessette, 82, of Pawtucket, passed into eternal life on March 22, 2022. She was the beloved wife of Bernard Bessette, who predeceased her in 2020. &They were married for 61 years.
Mrs. Bessette was born in Pawtucket, the daughter of the late Joseph Mellen, Jr. and Kathryn (Burns) Mellen. Carole leaves behind her brother Joseph Mellen III and his wife Sandra of Pawtucket and her sister Sandra Pelegri of Brewster Massachusetts.
She was an office manager for Plastic Craft Novelty in Attleboro until retirement.
Carole is survived by her children, Sandra Angevine and her husband Robert of Pawtucket and Kevin Bessette and his wife Charlene of South Attleboro, Massachusetts.
She is also survived by six grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. Carole was the great grandmother to the late Natalia Bessette.
There will be a funeral service for Mrs. Bessette on Friday, March 25th at 12:00 noon in the Manning-Heffern Funeral Home, 68 Broadway, Pawtucket. Her burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket. The calling hours for Carole will be on Friday morning from 11:00 am until 12:00 noon, prior to the funeral service.www.manningheffern.com
