Obituary

Carol A. O'Neil, 80, of Lincoln, RI passed away peacefully Monday, April 18, 2022. She was the wife of the late Edward J. O'Neil. Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late William and Antoinette (Forand) Moriarty. Carol worked for the US Postal Service, retiring as Postmaster. She was also a member of the Rhode Island officers Emerald Society and was also on the committee for the Rhode Island Irish Famine Memorial and was a Gold Star Wife.

She is survived by her brother James Moriarty and leaves behind her children, Richard Rondeau, Doreen Hogan, Carrie Shifflet, and Shannon Rondeau. She also leaves her stepchildren, Michael P. O'Neil, Christine Tessier, and Cathy Brockington, and grandchildren, Benjamin Shifflet, Hannah Shifflet, Ethan Polak, and McLean Polak. She was the sister of the late William Moriarty and Marilyn Boyer.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to a Funeral Service on Wednesday, April 27 th at 11:30 AM in the O'Neill Funeral Home, 3102 Mendon Road, Cumberland. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket.

Visiting hours on Wednesday, from 10:00-11:30 AM, prior to the service in the O'Neill Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the Rhode Island Irish Famine Memorial , PO BOX 28077, Providence RI 02908, in memory of Carol, would be greatly appreciated.
