Carol J. (Curran) Cornell, 75, of Smithfield, passed away peacefully on January 29, 2025, at Stillwater Nursing Home. She was the devoted wife of the late Stephen Tanner Cornell. Carol was the daughter of Joseph and Anita (Senecal) Curran.

After graduating from Notre Dame High School, she worked as a CNA at Slater Health Nursing Home and several group homes for many years prior to retiring. Carol's sense of humor and faith helped her remain strong throughout her life.

Carol is survived by her children, Allison Anne Cornell and Joseph Thomas Curran. She leaves behind many other loved ones.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to a Funeral Service on Wednesday, February 5th at 3:00 PM in The Manning-Heffern-O'Neill Funeral Home, 220 Cottage Street, Pawtucket. Burial will be private. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, January 5th, prior to the Service, from 2:00 – 3:00 PM the Manning -Heffern-O'Neill Funeral Home, 220 Cottage St., Pawtucket.
