It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Carol A. Blanchette, 77, of N. Smithfield. Carol left us on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of warmth and kindness. Born in Woonsocket, RI, she was the daughter of the late Jean Paul and Mary (Thompson) Menard.
Carol was the beloved wife of Harold A. Blanchette.
Besides her husband, Carol is also survived by her two children, Brian Blanchette, and Kristine (Christopher) St. Pierre. She was the loving grandmother to Tyler (Olivia) Blanchette and Benjamin St. Pierre. She also leaves behind a great granddaughter, Valerie Blanchette. She was the sister to Kathleen Bousquet and Linda Wood. She was predeceased by her brother Jean Paul Menard.
Carol was a dedicated wife and mother. She treasured her family and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role to those who called her Nana. Full of love, laughter and resilience, Carol touched the lives of all who knew her. Before her health made it difficult, Carol enjoyed boating with her family and friends, travel adventures with her beloved husband, and later developed a love of Bingo.
Family and friends are kindly invited to a Funeral Service on Monday, October 21st, at 12:00 Noon, in the O'Neill Funeral Home, 3102 Mendon Rd., Cumberland. The burial at Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland will immediately follow.
Visiting hours will be on Monday, October 21st from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, prior to the Funeral Service, in the O'Neill Funeral Home.
A donation, in Carol's memory may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital , 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis TN 38105.
