Betsy H. Donahue of Providence, Rhode Island was born on March 24, 1942, but presently resided in Chattanooga, TN for six years, near her sister Sue Bradley. Betsy peacefully passed away on March 15, 2026, with her brother Jay and sister Sue by her side. Betsy was married to the love of her life, Billy Donahue, a Captain with the City of Pawtucket Fire Department, for seventeen years before passing away in 2001.
Betsy had two siblings, Sue Bradley of Chattanooga TN and Jay Higgins of Henderson, NV. Betsy had five nieces and nephews, Emily, Laura, Donny, Jay and Kelley, along with eleven great nieces and nephews. Betsy enjoyed many years of activities in her assisted living home. She would have three Bingo cards going all at once, went to Bible studies and Church regularly, and enjoyed playing cards with Sue and Jay. We will miss her spunky, kind, and loving personality.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to a Funeral Service on Tuesday, March 24th at 12:30 PM in the Manning-Heffern-O’Neill Funeral Home, 220 Cottage St. Pawtucket. Burial will follow in RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter, RI.
Visiting hours will be from 11:00 AM - 12:30 PM, prior to the Service, on Tuesday in the Manning-Heffern-O’Neill Funeral Home.
Donations may be made in Betsy’s memory to Hospice of Chattanooga.
