Barbara LaFrance, 86, of Cumberland, passed away peacefully, Monday, November 21, 2022. She was the beloved wife of the late Richard LaFrance. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late George and Catherine (Louth) Croghan. Barbara was a schoolteacher at Saint Phillip's School, Greenville for many years before retiring.

She is survived by her daughter, Kathleen Masse and her husband, John, and also nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Eleanor Jalbert. The funeral will be held Saturday at 8:30 AM from the O'Neill Funeral Home, 3102 Mendon Road, Cumberland, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in Saint Joan of Arc Church, 3357 Mendon Road, Cumberland. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland. Visitation will be held Saturday from 8:30 AM – 9:30 AM in the O'Neill Funeral Home, prior to the Mass.
